When was the last time you checked your policies to see what the late fee amount is? You might be surprised to find out. I have noticed as increase for these fees in the last year with some of our carriers. If your account is set up as a direct bill the due date is marked on the bill. Any posting after that date incurs a late fee. Currently the average late fee is $10. I have seen some carriers that charge $20. Here are some ways to avoid paying late: 1) set your account up on monthly draft 2) calll your agent to see if you can change the due date to better suit your cash flow 3) depending on the type of policy you might be able to rewrite it on a date you select. These fees can really add up. Call your agent to discuss how your policy fees apply. JESUS is Coming Soon!! Are you Ready???
