We recently attended a continuing education class on Ethics. As insurance agents, we have an obligation to our customers and the companies we represent. Honesty and trust are the two main ingredients in any relationship. The reason we ask personal questions is to help an Underwriter make the proper decision on the risk that the company is insuring. Each time we write a policy there is an insurance company, that could and will , if a loss occurs possibly pay out thousands of dollars. Because of this there are important personal and often what seems like probing questions.
