Have you ever heard the myth that red cars have higher insurance or get more speeding tickets? It is in fact a myth or urban legend. There is no statistics to prove this is true. For insurance rates, they are based on many vehicle factors but color is not one of them. Policemen don't target special colors they look for people breaking the law. It is apparently a widespread thought.... I recall watching the TV comedy Big Bang Theory and seeing Sheldon insist that he not be given a red car in the simulator provided to teach him driving skills, stating they get more speeding tickets.
