This year we are experiencing more storms than in the past few years. There have been numerous structure fires in the area due to lightning. One thing many people do is leave their clothes in the dryer running while they are away from home or during thunderstorms. This is asking for trouble. We recently had a customer that lightning struck their dryer and had they not been home a fire would have caused severe damage. Please look at the picture of what lighting did to the cord and wiring.
